CAC - 5 years of providing veterinary care: 2019 in Review

January 5, 2020 was the official 5th anniversary of opening our doors back in 2015 - we saw two patients that first day (thanks Charlie & Otis!), and have served over 8000 pets since then.  In celebration of this and our amazing clientele and patients, we’d like to invite you - our clients! - to join us for cocktails, food, and yummy desserts on the early evening of Valentine’s Day, February 14th!

In what we hope will become an annual tradition, we’d like to share some of the highlights from 2019:

  • We added six new team members, including a Community Outreach Coordinator, bringing our total to thirty-three awesome team members.

  • Our team members completed over 1000 hours of continuing education.

  • Ali Getz & Sheridan O’Connor were accepted into and started veterinary school at Virginia Tech College of Veterinary Medicine - go Class of 2023!

  • We hosted numerous middle school and high school students for shadowing experiences, as well as local Boy Scout troops.

  • CAC donated over $13,000 to area rescue groups, schools, and non-profits.

  • Several CAC team members got married, and Alex (one of our licensed veterinary technicians) is expecting a baby in March.

  • We will be expanding to a second location in south Arlington off of Columbia Pike - anticipated opening early May 2020.

  • We participated in multiple community events, including yappy hours, Clarendon Day, Animal Welfare League of Arlington’s Walk for the Animals, and Dr. Skorup has hosted several “Smarty Pants” talks with AWLA.

  • We welcomed @Blink182theBeardie (adopted from AWLA), but sadly said goodbye to our most favorite cat of all @TommyLeeJonesTheCat.
