COVID-19 Protocol

While we continuously update our COVID-19 restrictions and workflow, we respectfully require masks in the office at all times. We are also limiting visits to one client in the exam room at a time. Thank you for your continued understanding!

November Holidays

Pet Cancer Awareness Month

The big C word is scary for humans - both for themselves and their furry friends! Just like with humans, cats and dogs are susceptible to many different types of cancer and routine, annual screenings are an important step in scanning for changes early. This is why CAC recommends annual exams (bi-annual for senior pets) and annual blood work as early diagnosis can make a huge difference in treatment and quality of life!

Thanksgiving

While Thanksgiving is about sharing and being grateful for those around you, please remember that your pets cannot partake in the same turkey feast as the rest of you and your family.

Please check out our Thanksgiving and Pets blog post for more info on a safe pet-friendly Thanksgiving!

Fear Free Tip of the Month

Fear Free Certified!

CAC is officially a Fear Free Certified practice! This is a huge accomplishment for all of our staff and super important to the wellness of our patients!

However, "Fear Free" visits aren't just made in the clinic, the process starts at home with planning, medications, routines, and positive association. Please check out our Fear Free Hospital Visit blog post for more information on how to create a successful "Fear Free" visit!

PVPs - What Are Those?!

As a Fear Free clinic, CAC is devoted to making sure each visit is as un-stressful for your pet as possible! While this begins in the small things (pheromones in the clinic, classical music, tasty treats), some pets require a bit of additional help in the form of PVPs (Pre-Visit Pharmaceuticals). It can definitely sound scary to give your pet medications prior to visits, as we often associate medications with illness, but the use of PVPs is often the best way to help your pet feel as safe and less anxious in their appointments as possible. For more information on PVPs, you can refer to our PVP blog post or discuss them with your Vet at your next visit!
